Kristine and I headed to Vegas for a little vacation at the end of August. Most people hit The Strip to drink and gamble, but we went to relax, shop, sit by the pool, and of course, eat.

When you try to describe the amazing meals you’ve had in Vegas, you’re usually met with a little skeptism, as people automatically think of buffets and booze. But there are a huge number of great restaurants; everything from Bobby Flay and Wolfgang Punk, right down to In N’ Out Burger, which is just a short cab ride off The Strip.

We stumbled across Jean Philippe Patisserie while exploring the new Aria Hotel. I think in this case, the pictures will show you everything you need to know:

Although we were disappointed not to find a display case solely devoted to macarons, there certainly wasn’t a shortage of treats to choose from. I was obsessed with the peanut lollipop (any food is made better when it’s on a stick) and Kristine chose a chocolate mousse type of dessert with a tiny macaron on the top.  I usually go for flavour over presentation when picking out treats, but in this case, Jean Philippe gives you both. Yum.
