Here’s another first on Planet Byn! I can’t believe this is the first cocktail I’ve posted, especially since I’ve been making Foxy Lady Rhubarb Cocktails for the past two summers! And amazing Watermelon Margaritas! We’ll get to those in the next few months; summer cocktails are the best!
Sangria is essentially boozy fruit punch. I’m a fan because you can mix it all up before your party starts and then your guests can just serve themselves. No standing in the kitchen mixing up cocktails by the glass! I liked this recipe because it wasn’t too sweet, and you can also add more sparkling water as you see fit. I can’t wait to sip glasses of this by the side of my parents pool in the summer! I’m contemplating a spray tan to tide me over until then.
Strawberry Rosé Sangria
Source: adapted very slightly from Pink Parsley because I couldn’t find straight up frozen peaches
Yield: maybe 6-8 glasses? You can determine how many people that serves!
Ingredients
4 cups frozen strawberry/peach/mango blend
1/3 cup sugar
juice of 2 lemons
3/4 cup triple sec
1/4 cup vodka
1 bottle Rosé wine, chilled
2 cups sparkling water, chilled
Directions
- In a large pitcher, add the fruit, sugar, lemon juice, triple sec and vodka. Stir and let sit at room temperature for a few hours, stirring occasionally.
- When ready to serve, add the wine and sparkling water, and mix. Pour into glasses and add some of the boozy fruit.
