I guess I’m in a little bit of a baking rut. I haven’t felt motivated to try any new recipes, other than what Claire posts every Thursday on her show. I know summer fruit season is coming soon, so hopefully I’ll feel a bit more excited about being in the kitchen again.
While I wait for Ontario rhubarb and strawberries to show up at the farmer’s market near my house, I tried Claire’s Chocolate Chip Cookies. As we all know, I have tried just about every CCC on the internet, but I was still interested to hear what Claire had to say.
Claire is doing a lot of the things we’re used to around here: browning the butter, using two types of chocolate and aging the dough. These are perfectly delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies, it’s just that I have another recipe that’s currently sitting atop my CCC Power Rankings.

Note: I ordered a gigantic 3lb box of Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt online, but if you don’t have it, just use regular salt and cut the measurement in half for these recipes.
