Oatmeal Cherry Nut Cookies

You will never, ever catch me eating an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. I’m not against raisins per se; they have their rightful place in the bottom of butter tarts and these Carrot Cake Breakfast Cookies I’ve been making lately. But for whatever reason, I just will not tolerate them in an Oatmeal Cookie.

The Baked Boys put their spin on a classic Oatmeal Cookie in their first book, and replaced the raisins with dried cherries, plus added walnuts and some Fall spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom).

These cookies are simple to mix up, and have the classic Baked instruction to let the dough rest for six hours before baking. As always, I recommend scooping the dough before the chilling period to make it easier.

I brought these to some friends, and one said they’re her new fave!
